What To Know When Visiting Our Eye Care Office

Please go directly to the front desk. We will confirm your information to be sure all requirements are met for your insurance. With the many different medical and vision plans available in our area, it is often necessary for the authorizations to be obtained before a patient can be seen.

Filling Out The Proper Patient Forms

Please fill out a Patient Registration Form and bring it with you. We have included a link to our medical release form here and our Privacy Practices.

Comprehensive and Routine Eye Exams

Please allow approximately one hour for all comprehensive and routine eye exams. Our ophthalmic technician will take a history and perform preliminary testing. Drops to dilate the pupil will be used, which can take up to 20 minutes to allow a view of the retina effectively. Your vision will be blurred, especially when viewing close-up.

Preparing for Sensitive Dilated Eyes

If you are concerned about driving under these circumstances, please have someone drive you. Dilated eyes will be sensitive to light. Sunglasses will make your eyes more comfortable.
